NONSTICK COOKWARE

Earth Pan II

Earth Pan II

Pleasingly, we’ve found a true green cookware set. This EarthPan II have praised from some experts for the eco-friendly coating. Unlike the interior coatings of other nonstick cookware, this EarthPan II is made by SandFlow nonstick technology that contains no PTFEs or PFOAs, toxic that harm us. These pots and pans have an aluminum construction that heats up quickly and helps reduce hot spots. It’s not as slick as some nonstick; you may be tempted to add little oil when cooking. Talking about cooking ability, EarthPan II works well on stovetop and gas ranges for oven safe to 350°F. It claims for dishwasher-safe (but still be recommended hand-wash).

Above on, the outstanding point is budget-friendly. The 10-piece set costs under $150 (for retail price) which is less expensive than some other green cooking brands. This makes EarthPan II affordable for having whole set, instead of buying 1 or 2 pieces of pan. The beautiful design and stunning color, Terra Cotta (red), Espresso (brown) and bronze, are the plus. These 10-pieces cooking set comes with useful pieces for essential home cooking.

For more reviews, we’ve found that owners gave high ratings for these major reasons: the SandFlow Technology which makes it has nonstick feature with no FTFEs and FFOAs (toxin from Teflon), evenly cooking, eye-catching finish and budget value. Moreover, we’ve found more of the positive reviews from Good Housekeeping (‘A’ rating) and Consumer Reports from similar reasons.

While most of the features meet home chef’s needs, the durability is still on questioned. Seeing that the manufacturer allows putting in the dishwasher; however, many owners argued that this caused the nonstick surfaces peel off. Apart from dishwasher, like other nonstick pans, it is recommended to stay away from cooking spray, abrasive scrub and metal utensils for preventing the coat from chipping and flaking.

Another point, it doesn’t allow for high heat. (It’s suggested for low to medium high temperatures). This point mayn’t be a con if it doesn’t bother your cooking habits. Anyway, some users have noticed that the newer version is more durable, while slightly more expensive.

The Verdict

B-
Overall, if you’re about to set up the new kitchen with safer alternatives, the EarthPan may be an interesting choice. While less durability is a big drawnback, this beautiful set may suit for some tight budget people or being a nice starter set as acceptable cooking ability on stovetops among ceramic-based cookware.
