If you’re a home cook, who is looking for a starter set who prefer really utility than those foodie-certified heirloom cookware, the KitchenAid Gourmet is that one, which serves best for nonstick and function..
What we like:
The kitchenAid Gourmet is nothing fancy but completely fulfills essential features, which are really useful for being a nice starter set. You’ll get everything daily cookery---smoothly nonstick for easier cooking, pretty well-built construction, harden finish coating of hard anodized aluminum, evenly cooking with acceptable heat resistance 400 degree F, glass lids, easy to clean (but not dishwasher) and affordable price.
The design is somewhat noticeable in the Winsor style, which has noticeable tall and straight sides with slightly flare edges. As it has narrower base and taller side than regular pot, this helps save area of cook top for four burners, as well as adds more capacity for sautéing without flying food over the pan. The tall stock pot is better for pasta cooking. Moreover, this cookware is rather light weight, which is preferable for some who have limited arm mobility.
We truly love the size. It contains only what you’ll need and versatile enough for most occasions. The handle is nicely designed. The Y-shaped rivets feel sturdy and cool. The 8-inch long handles with silicone underside help more comfortable to grip. This set is suitable for most ranges, such as solid plate, radiant ring, ceramic, halogen and gas burners. However, induction cooktop is not included. Moreover, KitchenAid customer service is known as hassle-free warrantee.
What we don't like:
Most reviewers agreed that the biggest downside is not dishwasher-safe, though it’s trouble-free for hand washing. Some reviewers complained that the narrower shape of stock pot makes difficult for some cuisines or takes longer times to boil. Few users found rough edges of silicone underside which feel uncomfortable.
|Overall, if you’re looking for basic useful pieces of nonstick cookware for breezier daily cooking than excessive features, the KitchenAid Gourmet is definitely make more impressive at this price.
