When they brought the new hallmark of good pans, Unison series, we (and many other cooks) was surely expected for the finest results. And we weren’t disappointed.
The Unison is presented as the top of the line. The key point is each of the pans is specially designed for serving its best purposes. Notice that the nonstick surfaces of Unison come in two different versions. Slide is the ultra smooth coating which works well for sauce pans or omelets, Whereas Sear is the rougher texture coat yields the great result for sautéing and searing like stainless does. It’s oven-safe up to 500 degree F, obviously high for nonstick products. The cooking performance is exceptional--- even, quick and easy for most cuisines.
It does accent solid construction---sturdy, thick and hefty. The weight is right for cooking pros. The lids tightly fit on pans. The handles provide well-balanced in hand, as well as remarkable stay cool. The design makes the feel of classy and sophisticated. The lifetime warranty is worthwhile. What we don't like:
A big downside devotes for the price tag as relatively expensive in the same ranges. While the manufacturer labels dishwasher-safe, some users claimed that this wasn’t good for the nonstick coating or make it new. Hand-washing is recommended. Some users experienced scratches, worn surface and chipping edges. Therefore, it needs proper care for prevents peeling coats like most nonstick, which doesn’t allow metal utensils, harsh scrubs and proper temperature. Follow the manufacturer’s instruction strictly for keeping longer uses.
|Overall, if you’re looking for trustworthy brand and quality nonstick cookware that will suit your cooking skills for making the difference, the Calphalon Unison is one top-of-the-line available.
